It seems that Dolins's son Daniel wasn't a merchant. Unlike his father witch worked hard the whole of his life, Daniel studied and published philosophical works in Utrecht at the end of the 17th century. He likely tried to raise his social condition marrying the daughter of a goldsmith that held the title of Lord of the Manor of Lordshold from 1675 and was knighted in 1722. His daughter Margaret married a rich landowner of Bracon Ash, Norfolk. Nobility and land were the main social targets of the middle class, until it reached more self-confidence during the 19th century. The Dolin family occupied the house until 1801.
