Trace of Abrahm Dolins can be found in national and international businesses and projects such as the sale of Dunkirk in 1663 and the drainage of the fenlands at Isle of Axhholme, Lincolnshire, in 1726. During the 17th century, England was creating the basis of its commercial and naval empire thanks to its merchants and people who accepted its hospitality, as on the Continent many people were exiled and imprisoned for religious matters.
